Today we roll out the third of four days’ worth of results from our second-annual Slicing Up Eyeballs Readers Poll, in which nearly 500 of you cast ballots for your favorite new, reissued and freshly compiled music of the year. This time, it’s your Top 10 singles of the year.

This week’s new releases include a tribute to the British guitarist/songwriter John Martyn featuring The Cure’s Robert Smith, a reissue on 10-inch vinyl of The Clash’s ‘Black Market Clash’ and a 3CD compilation of extended remixes by the likes of New Order and The Jesus and Mary Chain called 12″/80s Alternative.’

Robert Smith’s new recording of the ‘Small Hours’ appears on ‘Johnny Boy Would Love This… A Tribute to John Martyn,’ which is due out Aug. 16. Lauren Laverne debuted the song on BBC 6 Music today, and you can stream and/or download the radio rip thanks to ever-vigilant fan site Chain of Flowers.

Much-buzzed digi-punk duo Crystal Castles has tapped Robert Smith of The Cure to sing new vocals on ‘Not In Love,’ a cut off the band’s second self-titled album that will be released as a single Dec. 6.
