The resurgent Pixies made their second TV appearance in a week last night, this time plugging in on the BBC’s “Later… with Jools Holland” to tear through new song “What Goes Boom” off the band’s just-released EP-1 in advance of tonight’s appearance at the iTunes Festival in London.

With a handful of U.K. concert appearances coming up this month, Johnny Marr stopped by BBC Two’s “Later… With Jools Holland” this week, with the program airing a pair of tunes (“The Right Thing Right” off The Messenger and The Smiths’ “Bigmouth Strikes Again”).

Dexys — Kevin Rowland‘s relaunched and renamed Dexys Midnight Runners — appeared on BBC chat show “Later… with Jools Holland” on Tuesday night, performing “Free,” off the forthcoming ‘One Day I’m Going to Soar,’ as we well as the needs-no-introduction “Come On Eileen.”
Paul Weller dropped by BBC’s ‘Later… with Jools Holland’ last night to perform two tracks — ‘The Attic’ and ‘Kling I Klang’ — off his just-released new solo album ‘Sonik Kicks,’ both of which you can see via the clips posted here. Weller is due on these shores later next month to play a pair of gigs in New York City and one in Toronto.
