Since we last checked in with former Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collins, his follow-up to 2010′s acclaimed Losing Sleep has been bumped from January to late March, but that’s OK, since we can at least get a taste of the upcoming ‘Understated’ LP via the track “Too Bad (That’s Sad),” which debuted at The Quietus.

Former Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collins will follow up 2010’s acclaimed ‘Losing Sleep’ with his eighth solo album, ‘Understated,’ in January, the singer recently revealed — and he’ll be the subject of an upcoming documentary called “In Your Voice, In Your Heart” that chronicles his recovery from a debilitating 2005 stroke.
Last March while in Austin, Texas, for the South By Southwest music festival, former Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collins popped into Big Orange Recording to knock out a five-song live session for Daytrotter — which was posted Monday and is available as a free download.
