Danny Elfman will take the stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall this October for a cinematic career overview entitled “Danny Elfman’s Music From the Films of Tim Burton” that will find him doing something he hasn’t done since Oingo Boingo’s farewell concert on Halloween night 1995: singing in public.

For those of us living in Southern California in the late ’80s and early ’90s, Halloween meant one thing: Oingo Boingo’s epic “Dia de los Muertos” concerts in Los Angeles and San Diego. We’ve posted this 1990 show before, but now we’ve got two full sets from 1987 — Oct. 30 and 31 at Irivne Meadows.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is helping make a feature-length documentary about the so-called ‘Woodstock of the ’80s’ — the 1982 US Festival, which featured Talking Heads, Oingo Boingo, The B-52s, The Cars, Ramones, Gang of Four and more — to be released this Labor Day weekend on the event’s 30th anniversary.
