After playing just a handful of U.S. shows in support of last year’s Sonik Kicks, modfather Paul Weller will return to these shores this summer for a limited tour of cities on the East Coast, playing six concerts in New York, Brooklyn, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. They’re billed as his only U.S. shows this year.

After playing just two shows in New York and a concert in Toronto this past May in support of ‘Sonik Kicks,’ Paul Weller will return to the U.S. this fall for an even briefer visit: The ex-Jam leader is set to perform on the Oct. 18 episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and will follow that with a concert Oct. 19 at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre.

Universal Music is planning a 30th anniversary box set of The Jam’s chart-topping 1982 album The Gift — featuring one of Paul Weller and Co.’s best-known singles, “Town Called Malice” — and is asking fans to submit memorabilia such as “photos, tour tickets, posters or newspaper articles” for inclusion in the reissue.
