Tom Verlaine, the frontman of foundational late-’70s New York City art-punk quartet Television, and a dazzling and hugely influential guitarist, died Saturday.

Richard Hell and the Voidoids’ 1977 debut Blank Generation — a landmark chapter in the history of New York City punk — will receive an expanded 40th anniversary reissue next month, with the original record paired with a disc of previously unreleased studio takes and live tracks. Talking Heads spinoff Tom Tom Club — husband-and-wife rhythm section Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz — today premiered the music video for “Downtown Rockers,” the title track of their just-released new EP, the duo’s first new release in a dozen years. The video features cameos from Debbie Harry and Richard Hell.
