This week’s new releases include new studio albums from Robyn Hitchcock (“The Man Upstairs”) and Dinosaur Jr’s J Mascis (“Tied to a Star”), plus the U.S. release of Wire’s “Document and Eyewitness” reissue, a 4CD Eyeless in Gaza box set and a vinyl reissue from Lydia Lunch and Rowland S. Howard.
This week’s new releases include a pair of 2CD reissues from Big Country (‘The Seer,’ ‘Peace In Our Time’) as well as a reissue of late Birthday Party guitarist Rowland S. Howard’s second solo album (2009’s ‘Pop Crimes’) and a vinyl reissue of Elvis Costello & The Attractions’ ‘All This Useless Beauty.’
Simon Bonney has resurrected his art-rock group Crime and the City Solution — which, during the ’80s, included members of The Birthday Party, Swell Maps and Einstürzende Neubauten — for the band’s first tour in more than 20 years, a brand-new compilation and its first new studio album since 1990’s ‘Paradise Discotheque.’
