Electro-industrial icons Skinny Puppy this weekend announced the release this fall of the long-delayed ‘Handover,’ the group’s 11th studio album and first in more than four years.

Bookended by a pair of great Depeche Mode tracks, tonight’s ‘Dark Wave’ show on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave was a strong one, featuring some very early Cure (‘Another Day’), a rare appearance by Oingo Boingo (‘Pain’) and a blast of Skinny Puppy (‘Smothered Hope’).

This week’s new releases include brand-new studio albums from Laurie Anderson (‘Homeland’) and Front Line Assembly (‘Improvised Electronic Device’), plus expanded reissues from Spandau Ballet (‘True,’ ‘Parade’) and A Flock of Seagulls (‘Listen’).
