The Charlatans this spring continue their somewhat haphazard reissue campaign by following up expanded editions of 1990 debut ‘Some Friendly’ and 1999′s ‘Us and Us Only’ with a double-disc re-release of 1997′s ‘Tellin’ Stories’ — which will be followed by four performances of the album in the U.K. this June.
The Charlatans will follow up last year’s double-disc re-release of debut album ‘Some Friendly’ this spring with an expanded reissue of 1999′s ‘Us and Only Us,’ supplementing the record’s original 11 tracks with 19 bonus B-sides, remixes, radio sessions and live tracks.
This week’s new CD releases include ‘Spot the Difference,’ a new 14-track best-of from Squeeze featuring faithful re-recordings of the band’s best-loved hits, and ‘Some Friendly and Greatest Hits at the Roundhouse,’ a 3CD live set from The Charlatans.

The folks at Beggars Archive this week announced a May 17 release date for The Charlatans’ 2CD ‘Some Friendly: Expanded Edition,’ timed to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Manchester act’s chart-topping debut.
Beggars Archive will release an expanded 2CD reissue of The Charlatans’ 1990 debut “Some Friendly” — although not the larger “Omnibus” set originally planned — to coincide with the band’s 20th anniversary performance of the full album in London and Barcelona this May.
