On June 2, 1991 — the third night of Morrissey’s first-ever solo tour of the U.S. — David Bowie joined the former Smiths frontman onstage in Los Angeles to duet on a cover of T. Rex’s “Cosmic Dancer.” Now, nearly 30 years later, Morrissey is finally giving that recording an official release, first digitally and then 7-inch vinyl.

The year of The Jam’s birth — 1977, the year punk broke — will be celebrated this fall with a 40th anniversary 5-disc box set, aptly titled 1977, that will include the band’s first two albums, a disc of demos, a collection of Peel session recordings and live tracks, and a DVD of TV appearances. Former Jam frontman Paul Weller this spring will release his 13th solo album, titled A Kind Revolution, a 10-track collection he began work on immediately after completing 2015’s Saturns Pattern and which features guest appearances by Robert Wyatt and Boy George.
Paul Weller’s forthcoming album Saturn’s Pattern will be released in the U.S. this spring by Warner Bros. Records, the former Jam leader announced today, debuting the video for first single “White Sky” and rolling out a 10-date North American tour this June.
Paul Weller will follow up 2012’s Sonik Kicks with a brand-new album this year, a record titled Saturn’s Pattern that is due to arrive sometime in 2015, according to the former Jam leader. While Weller has not revealed a release date for his 11th solo album, he did recently disclose the tracklist.
