The incomparable Robyn Hitchcock is back with his first new album in two years and his 21st overall, a self-titled record that arrives in April and is preceded by the song “I Want To Tell You About What I Want” — which can be streamed here.

This week’s new releases include new studio albums from Robyn Hitchcock (“The Man Upstairs”) and Dinosaur Jr’s J Mascis (“Tied to a Star”), plus the U.S. release of Wire’s “Document and Eyewitness” reissue, a 4CD Eyeless in Gaza box set and a vinyl reissue from Lydia Lunch and Rowland S. Howard.

Robyn Hitchcock this August will release a brand-new, Joe Boyd-produced album titled The Man Upstairs that will be “part well-known favorites, part personal discoveries, and part originals,” according to Yep Roc Records. The first offering off the record is an acoustic take on the Psychedelic Furs’ classic “The Ghost in You.”
