The Replacements tease ‘Songs for Slim’ reunion EP to benefit Slim Dunlap

The Replacements — namely Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson — this evening teased Songs For Slim, their much-anticipated reunion project, announced last year as four-song, ultra-limited, vinyl-only covers EP that was to be auctioned off to raise money to help pay for the medical expenses of former bandmate Slim Dunlap.

Director Gorman Bechard’s documentary about The Replacements and their rabid fans — a film dubbed, appropriately, “Color Me Obsessed” — finally landed on DVD last month, but if you haven’t had a chance to see the film yet, the full two-hour doc is streaming on YouTube for a limited time courtesy of Noisey.
