Morrissey reschedules canceled UK concerts… then cancels another concert

Morrissey

Buying a ticket to see Morrissey on his current  Tour of Refusal is becoming an increasingly risky endeavor, as the illness-plagued singer continues to cancel shows even as he tries to reschedule others.

This morning, the City Hall venue in Salisbury, England, announced Monday night’s Moz show “has been postponed,” an announcement that comes just days after the ex-Smith unveiled rescheduled dates for the last two bagged gigs, plus four new UK dates in October.

The Salibury show is the ninth concert — and third in the UK —  that Morrissey has postponed or canceled since embarking on his current tour in March.

The latest cancellation comes after Moz celebrated his 50th birthday with a pair of shows Friday and Saturday in his hometown of Manchester.

Morrissey’s new and rescheduled October dates:

Oct. 23: Symphony Hall, Birmingham, UK (rescheduled)
Oct. 24: Oasis, Swindon, UK
Oct. 26: Opera House, Bournemouth, UK
Oct. 27: Royal Albert Hall, London, UK (rescheduled)
Oct. 29: O2 Academy, Leeds, UK
Oct. 30: City Hall, Sheffield, UK

  1. I suppose he is simply too good to reschedule his shows in the American South.

  2. Jack Macapinilac

He’s looking a bit like Dennis Hopper these days.
