Crowded House to release new album in March, announce spring UK tour

Crowded House, circa 2007

Crowded House this spring will release its second album since reuniting in 2007, an 11-track, as-yet-untitled disc that Neil Finn and Co. will support with a just-announced tour of the United Kingdom in May and June and a slot at the famed Isle of Wight Festival.

While the Aussie rockers haven’t officially unveiled the tracklist for the new album — which is expected in March — fan site Frenz.com this month revealed each track name, one by one, on its Twitter feed (see full list below). The record will be Crowded House’s sixth overall and first since Time on Earth three years ago.

According to Gigwise.com, Finn said of the new record:

“This 11-track album is exotic in parts, traditional in origin, through many a twist and turn we fashioned some drama and intrigue. You will find some threads that go back through all that history and some new discoveries as well that will need to be followed up. It’s part of the continuum and it may just be the best thing we’ve done… till the next one.”

Today, the band announced an 11-date tour of England and Ireland in late spring, bookended by two previously announced festival dates: an April 4 headlining slot at the Byron Bay Bluesfest in Australia and a June 12 appearance at the Isle of Wight.

@Daniel Tse – best band since the Beatles, Fact.
That is utter bull crap. This band is middle of the road with only a couple of hits to there name.

Your music choice is so 80’s it’s untrue, Grandpa.

If they are the best band since the Beatles, then why are they only headlining small venues and not stadiums.

You do not know what your talking about.
