Playlist: Sirius XM’s ‘Dark Wave,’ 10/10/10

1st Wave

Tonight’s installment of “Dark Wave” — the weekly Sunday night show on Sirius XM’s ’80s alternative station 1st Wave — featured a few nice surprises, including a live version of Depeche Mode non-album cut “Death’s Door,” rare appearances by Fad Gadget (“Collapsing New People”) and Misfits (“London Dungeon”), and, as requested last week, a House of Love track that’s not “Christine” (that would be, this week anyway, “Destroy the Heart”).

“Dark Wave” airs each Sunday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern/7 p.m. to 10 p.. Pacific.

  1. I would love to see more recent stuff on Dark Wave. I know they’ve had some recent Bauhaus tracks and stuff like that, but I’d love to see a lot more of that, alongside some more recent Dark-Wave sounding acts, like Jill Tracy or IAMX. I think that would make the playlist more well-rounded.
