Audio: Premiere of Duran Duran’s ‘Being Followed,’ off ‘All You Need Is Now’

Producer Mark Ronson tonight gave Duran Duran fans their second taste of the band’s forthcoming All You Need Is Now, premiering the track “Being Followed” — part of it, anyway — on his East Village Radio show, just as he played a bit of “Blame the Machine” back in July. You can hear the first 90 seconds or so (repeated, in fact) in the clip above, with Ronson doing the obligatory voice-overs.

The track is slated to appear on the band’s long-in-the-works 13th studio album, which is expected out in early 2011, although an actual release date has yet to be announced. In the meantime, the band has announced a five-date tour of South Africa in December that will open the “enormous global campaign” surrounding the new album.

  1. I can’t wait!!!! And it sounds awesome!

  2. I was scared after hearing Mark’s record, but this sounds great!

And is sux that Mark HAS TO talk over the record so that the label doesn’t get pissed. I used to think he was doing it to be ‘funny’ (even though it is not), but now I understand.

  3. I’m on the fence. On one hand, at least they are playing their instruments. On the other hand, they seem to be just be trying to imitate the first album. We’ll see when the album comes out on 12/21 on Itunes.

But it already sounds much much better than Red Carpet Disaster.

  4. I am not impressed with what I have heard so far. Sounds like they are trying to sounds like their D2 and Rio albums. Will have to wait and see if its a bomb like the last cd. Lets hope not.

  5. Now this sounds more promising. Better than all you need is now in my opinion.
Yes more classic Duran Duran sounding and I am all for that.
