BACKSTORY: Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe usher in 2013 with the release of the third single off their latest album Elysium, arriving this week in two different download bundles (and on CD in the U.K.), featuring a number of new remixes of the track as well as three new B-sides. BACKSTORY: Pylon Records releases an expanded reissue of the debut mini-LP on vinyl and, for the first time ever, CD from late-’80s Los Angeles post-punk trio, one of the only American bands to have released a single — 1985′s “Smiling Monarchs” — on Manchester’s legendary Factory Records (see full tracklist).

RELEASE: Relapse
BACKSTORY: Al Jourgensen and Co. this week release their 2012 reunion album in a limited-edition gatefold vinyl set. The album, which features the guitar work of the late Mike Scaccia, includes tracks such as “Ghouldiggers,” “Kleptocracy,” “99 Percenters,” “Weekend Warrior,” “Get Up Get Out ‘n’ Vote” and more.
