Slicing Up Eyeballs launches iPhone, iPad app

Slicing Up Eyeballs iPhone app

We’re thrilled to announce today the official launch of the brand-new Slicing Up Eyeballs app for iPhones and iPads — now the easiest way to stay on top of the latest album and reissue news, tour dates, streaming music and  video content both new and delightfully vintage from all of your favorite ’80s college-rock and alternative artists.

The app is being developed by DJ Mikey from Strangeways Radio and John Koerner, and, while it’s debuting as a streamlined application that displays this website’s posts in a simple and easy-to-read format, we’re very much interested in what additional features you’d like to see incorporated as it continues to be built out. Feel free offer suggestions and feedback in the comments section below.

So, by all means, please check out the new Slicing Up Eyeballs app — an ad-free version is on sale now for just 99 cents in the iTunes Store, and purchases help support the work we do here every day. You can also get it directly from your device by searching ‘Slicing Up Eyeballs’ in the App Store app.

  1. What about an Android app? Excluding tablets, there are more Android phones than iOS phones. Also, iOS tablets are declining in market share, as Android takes over tablets, as well.

So, how about that Android app?

  2. I would gladly pay the $1 for an Android app

    Yes, Android please

  4. Just downloaded app. Excited to have an efficient way to access the site on my phone.

Initial feedback would be to integrate the comments from the site with the app and allow commenting.

  5. I downloading this as soon as it was released. Have to say that I’m a little dissapointed with the content at the moment. Not a patch on the website and very simplistic.

Hope this is a work in progress.

  6. Chiming in for the Android request! I’m sure that I don’t have to remind you(but I am) that there are far more droids out there than IOS. Regardless-I love your site!

  7. Android, definitely.

  8. I am both an Android and IOS developer and I love your blog. Let me know if you need assistance.
