New releases: R.E.M., Echo & The Bunnymen, The House of Love, Soundgarden

BACKSTORY: The Bunnymen this week release a new 2CD, 17-track live album via Concert Live that was recorded at Shepherds Bush Empire on June 8, 2014, featuring cuts off Meteorites and band classics.

RELEASE: Live at the Lexington 13.11.13
BACKSTORY: The House of Love this week releases a live CD/DVD package that was recorded at the second of two concerts last November at a 200-seat club in London. The set features 14 tracks in audio and video.



RELEASE: Echo of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across the Path
BACKSTORY: The grunge giants this week release a rarities set hand-picked by guitarist Kim Thayill that’s available in single-disc and 3CD sets. The deluxe edition features seven unreleased tracks.




  1. I like that Amazon hides the single disc version of Soundgarden’s new album. You can’t search for it directly, and really have to hunt to find it under ‘other versions’. Amazon did the same thing with Pink Floyd’s new album; pointing you to the Deluxe Version with Blu-ray instead of the album proper.
