Mojo Nixon documentary ‘The Mojo Manifesto’ due out in 2020 — watch the trailer

Scene from “The Mojo Manifesto”

We first wrote about Freedom Records & Films’ documentary about Mojo Nixon back in 2013, and, at the time, it was expected out in 2014. We’re not entirely sure what delayed it, but the production has recently announced the film — “The Mojo Manifesto” — will be released in 2020.

Below, you can check out a 2-minute trailer for the documentary about the man born Neill Kirby McMillan Jr., that one-of-a-kind loud-mouthed rocker who rose to semi-fame in the late ’80s with the singles “Elvis is Everywhere” and “Debbie Gibson is Pregnant with My Two-Headed Love Child” — not to mention a classic name-drop in The Dead Milkmen’s “Punk Rock Girl.”
