  1. Great episode tonight, Matt! I loved hearing Skinny Puppy and the Cure.

  2. “Jesus Alone” by Nick Cave next week, please. And also the 12″ version of “Sweet Bird of Truth” by The The.

  3. Great show! I actually got to hear it for once haha. Very industrial heavy, which I loved. Some suggestions for next week:
    Godflesh – Pulp
The Mentally Ill – Padded Cell
Gerard McMann – Cry Little Sister

  4. Ken Carlyle

What a great show, Matt. I very much look forward to each week’s installment of Dark Wave.
I would request for some future episode Chris & Cosey pairing up with an iconic First Wave artist which doesn’t usually get played on Dark Wave: “Sweet Surprise.”

  5. Seconding Rob’s suggestion of “Pulp” by Godflesh!

  6. Constantine and Cameron

Great setlist last night!! Can you please play Muscoviet Mosquito by Clan of Xymox next week for my son Cameron
The version from the Lonely as an Eyesore compilation ( not the remake )

    Thanks a lot Matt!

  7. Brack Lee

Could you please play any song by the band 29 Died?

  8. Thanks Matt for helping keep Summer nice and dark!

How about “Shadowed” by Fingerprintz? Thanks!

  9. Good episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    Bigod 20, “America”

    Request for future show:
    Lords of Acid, “Hey Ho!”

  10. Victor Zamora

Clan of xymox – back door

  11. Good stuff as always, Matt!

Here are a couple of possible requests for a future show –

    Morrissey – Alsatian Cousin
    Big Black – Bad Houses

    Thanks as always!

  12. Great show. Never heard the Jolene version. Thanks for playing it.

You asked for some suggestions for a covers show. Here’s some lesser played ones I think are pretty good:

    The Stranglers-Walk on By
Johnette Napolitano- Mercedes Benz (off Concrete Blonde’s Recollection album, last track I think)
Nick Cave and Shane McGowan’s version of What a Wonderful World. Also their version of Rainy Night in Soho is pretty good.

    Maybe for next week

Downtown by Throwing Muses (off House Tornado)
    Tantalized by The Church
Anything you’ve not yet played by the Abecedearians (having a hard time finding their stuff)

Sorry for the long post. Thanks.

  13. Forgot Gun Club’s My Man’s Gone Now for the cover show ideas

  14. Matthew Gurrola

Next week how about The Cramps – Bikini Girls with Machine Guns.

  15. “Jonestown” by Concrete Blonde
    “Radio Silence” by Boris Grebenshikov
    “Glow World” by Bill Nelson

  16. If you are looking for obscure covers how about “Mama Told Me Not to Come” a cover of the Three Dog Night song by Wolfgang Press? Thanks!

  17. Jeff Stone

Either “Gratitude” or “Insanity” by Oingo Boingo.

…But also, if you’re looking for covers, their version of “I Am The Walrus” could work.

  18. Great show again Matt!!
I would like to request Alsatiatin Cousin- Morrissey
    phil

  19. Great line up!!!
    Please play next Sunday
OMD “Maid Of Orleans (Joan Of Arc)”
    Depeche Mode “Told You So”

    Thanks
