  5. Hi Matt – you played Saudade last ! Nice touch – Personally, I always love a mellow dark wave song to close out the show.

Ok on to next week. How about some older Simple Minds ? Changeling, In Trance As Mission, or This Fear of Gods. Thank you.

  6. Killer cuts last night, Matt!

Here are some requests for a possible future Dark Wave –

    PiL – Memories
Galaxie 500 – Tugboat (or something else off of Today)

    Thanks!

  7. Ken Carlyle

    Another great playlist Matt.

I’m jonesing for the Blue Heat 12″ off the incomparable Micro Phonies album from the Cabs.

As always, this is my favorite 3 hours of the week.

  8. A few suggestions for the next go around:

Under the Ivy – Kate Bush
    Precious – Depeche Mode
    Homesick – The Cure
    Elegia – New Order

Another very nice show. Superb and surprising opener by Acid Horse.
May I suggest “Feurio” by Einstuerzende Neubauten for next week.

  11. Shad Barga

  13. Excellent show! Some suggestions for next week:

Elton Motello – Jet Boy Jet Girl (or alternatively, The Damned’s cover version)
The The – Uncertain Smile 7″ Single Version

  14. Hi Matt – how about Singing Rule Britannia (When the Walls Close In) by the Chameleons? I think our friends the Brits could use a bit of cheer nowadays.

  15. Slick episode!

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    Snake Corps, “Save My Heart”

    Request for future show:
    Devo, “Jerkin’ Back ‘n’ Forth”

    • Yes to Devo ! Probably not “dark wave” enough, but man I loved New Traditionalists back in the day. Jerkin Back n Forth was my favorite. Great video of that tune on Youtube filmed during an episode of “Fridays”, complete with an awesome intro. Still one of my all-time favorite Youtube videos.

  16. Still listening to the episode, but the tracklist looks awesome. For next week maybe something from the Scotts:

‘Mud in Your Eye’ by Orange Juice off Rip It Up or
‘Just Too Bloody Stupid’ by Close Lobsters

    Thanks.

  17. Infinite Jester

    Please play:

“Temple of Love” by The Sisters of Mercy ft. Ofra Haza

  18. Song request for future Dark Wave:

    Concrete Blonde – Bloodletting

  19. Just heard this episode as on my holidays…love love love!

  20. Hi Matt,

Please consider these for future shows:

Sleeper in Metropolis – Anne Clark
