Got a request? To be considered for next week’s show, drop it in the comments below by noon Tuesday. Requests will be considered as long as they fit the show’s format and generally within the 1stWave era — and provided the host doesn’t harbor an intense dislike of the song.

  1. Can you PLEASE dig up “Funtime” by Iggy Pop/David Bowie for next Sunday’s show? Thanx!!

  2. Yet again, another splendid Dark Wave show! My request for next weeks show would be “Rigor Mortis” by A Split-Second, please.

Also, I really enjoyed the segment you did on Metropolis Records a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely loved the Intermix song “Dream On” you played. I would most definitely love to hear more songs from Intermix on future Dark Wave episodes. Thanks Matt!

  3. Carmen Ilardi

    Thank you for playing Recoil.

  4. Perhaps one week you could play a track off of Lou Reed’s loved-or-loathed “Metal Machine Music” album?

  5. Excellent Playlist. Always great to hear Mission of Burma Wire and anything from Pretty Hate Machine.

  6. I think I’m in the mood for “Someone” by Simple Minds

  7. Robert Wilson

Yo Matt, awesome as always . Any chance for some Modern Eon ? More particular to the track, ‘Choreography’.

  8. Thanks for the Stranglers, Matt.

How about Houdini by Kate Bush next week? I was pleasantly surprised to find tunes from her in your set lists. And somehow it fits. She’s amazing.

Keep up the good work, my friend!

  9. So thankful that you played Recoil! Really made my night! Roxy Music, Love & Rockets, and Simple Minds were some other great additions to last night’s show that I particularly enjoyed.

Would love to hear some solo Daniel Ash on a future show. A track like “Get Out of Control” or “Foolish Thing Desire” would be most appreciated.

As always, keep up the good work!

  10. Thank you for making Sunday’s better.

    Please play
    Bauhaus – Telegram Sam
    Golden Palaminos – Boy (Go)

  11. Always appreciate some shoegaze!
