Talking Heads will appear at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 11 for the premiere of A24’s new 4K restoration of “Stop Making Sense.”

David Byrne slipped back into the Big Suit in a fun promo for A24’s upcoming rerelease of Jonathan Demme’s Talking Heads concert film “Stop Making Sense.”

The British Film Institute has released a trailer for its dazzling new 4K restoration of the classic 2 Tone-era document “Dance Craze: The Best of British Ska… Live!”

A team of filmmakers this week debuted the first teaser trailer for “35,000 Watts: The Story of College Radio,”and they’re looking for help funding the project.

Nikolaos Katranis and Russell Craig Richardson are working on a four-part documentary series on post-punk music, based on Simon Reynolds’ book “Rip It Up and Start Again.”

Nick Cave is offering fans a first glimpse at the new film “This Much I Know To Be True,” which will document Cave’s creative partnership with bandmate Warren Ellis.

The long-in-the-works documentary “Poly Styrene: I Am a Cliché” will make its commercial debut next week in the U.S. with a “one night only” nationwide theatrical screening.

This Friday, Showtime will premiere Alison Ellwood’s new documentary “The Go-Go’s,” which traces the rise of the hugely popular band out of the Los Angeles punk scene in the late ’70s and early ’80s. The 98-minute film premieres at 9 p.m. ET/PT on July 31. Watch the full trailer right here.

On this Christmas Eve, Nick Cave has dropped a little gift for Bad Seeds fans: He’s streaming the band’s recent 2-hour, 23-minute concert film “Distant Sky Live in Copenhagen” — filmed on Oct. 20, 2017, at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen — on YouTube for free. Watch it right here.

The Cure is teasing the release of its final performance of 1989’s Disintegration during a five-night run in Sydney, Australia, this past May and sharing three full songs — “Plainsong,” “Pictures of You” and “Disintegration” — taken from that concert. Watch those three clips right here.
