This week’s new releases include a new reissue of Sonic Youth’s ‘Daydream Nation,’ the first-ever vinyl pressing of Paul Westerberg’s ’14 Songs,’ a new studio album from former Soft Cell frontman Marc Almond, and a new 3CD box set featuring a trio of albums from Half Japanese.

As we first mentioned last month, Paul Westerberg’s post-Replacements solo debut —1993’s 14 Songs, featuring alt-rock radio hit “World Class Fad” — will receive its first-ever vinyl release next year in an 180-gram pressing similar to the previously announced release of his 1996 follow-up album Eventually.

Following the first-ever U.S. vinyl release of The Replacements’ final album, 1990′s All Shook Down, on Record Store Day’s Black Friday later this month comes word that bandleader Paul Westerberg’s second solo effort, 1996’s Eventually, also will make its debut on vinyl early next year.
