Terri Nunn popped up Tuesday night for the first song of the encore at The Sisters of Mercy’s second concert in eight days at the Hollywood Palladium.

The long-out-of-print second EP by goth-rock powerhouse The Sisters of Mercy will be reissued on heavyweight colored vinyl for Record Store Day.

The John Darnielle-led Mountain Goats earlier this year released a concept album called Goths that was preceded by the first single “Andrew Eldritch is Moving Back to Leeds,” a notably un-gothlike song about the lead singer of The Sisters of Mercy. The Sisters of Mercy opened their month-long European tour with a two-night stand at London’s Roundhouse on Friday and Saturday nights, offering setlists that traded in the band’s most well-known material and some rarities, including covers of Mission of Burma and Link Wray, and rare performances of two 1984 singles.

Rhino Records’ vinyl reissue campaign for The Sisters of Mercy continues with an expanded 4LP box set of the band’s 1992 compilation Some Girls Wander By Mistake, which finds that album spread over two records, and includes bonus 12-inch singles of “Temple of Love” and “Under the Gun.”
