Synth-rock legends New Order will return to the U.S. in mid-January for a concert in Miami, the band announced this weekend, though it’s not known whether the performance will be part of a broader American tour or a one-off concert on the way back from a Chilean make-up date. The concert film/documentary “New Order: Decades” — chronicling the group’s “So It Goes…” synth-orchestra collaboration with artist Liam Gillick — was broadcast last month on the U.K.’s Sky Arts television network, and finally has surfaced online for the rest of the world to see. New Order this morning revealed plans for a short North American tour around two previously announced headlining slots at U.S. festivals, saying the band will be “visiting cities they haven’t played in quite some time,” including a pair of shows on the Hawaiian islands of Oahu and Maui. New Order has lined up  a second U.S. festival appearance this year, with plans to follow up its headlining set at the inaugural InCuya Music Festival in Cleveland this August with another headlining appearance, this time at the Music Tastes Good Festival in Long Beach, Calif. For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we offer up this fantastic hour-long set by New Order that was filmed at a Belgian club in late 1985 for TV broadcast — and it’s been synced up with audio remastered by The Analog Loyalist (who you may remember for coming up with this New Order treasure).

New Order today announced that it has reached a “full and final settlement” to end the band’s long-running legal disputes with its former bassist Peter Hook over the ongoing royalties Hook has received since 2011 and his own use of “various New Order and Joy Division assets.” Read New Order’s full statement.
