The hard-touring Psychedelic Furs are heading back out on the road in the U.S. this month for a 14-date spring trek that will be followed by a 22-date North American tour this summer in which Richard Butler and Co. will share the bill with James. Full dates and details right here.

The Psychedelic Furs continue to expand their summer touring plans, having just announced six more U.S. shows in late July and August, including two at which the band will share the bill with X, and another that also will feature contemporaries The Fixx. London’s Meltdown festival today revealed the first round of acts selected by The Cure’s Robert Smith for this year’s series of concerts, a roster that includes My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails, The Psychedelic Furs, Kristin Hersh of Throwing Muses, and The Church. Full details right here.

Boutique record label Futurismo next month will reissue The Psychedelic Furs’ classic single — both the original off 1981’s Talk Talk Talk and the re-recording used in John Hughes’ 1986 film — as a gatefold double 7-inch single pressed on pink vinyl.

The Psychedelic Furs today announced a new set of summer dates for their current tour with Robyn Hitchcock — who covered the Furs’ 1984 classic “The Ghost in You” on his recent The Man Upstairs album — adding shows in California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia this July.

Robyn Hitchcock is giving fans another taste of his upcoming self-titled record in the form of a second single, the fully plugged-in “Mad Shelley’s Letterbox,” which you can stream below. The 10-track Robyn Hitchcock, which follows up 2014’s The Man Upstairs, will be released April 21 by Yep Roc Records.

The Psychedelic Furs this week rolled out what the band is calling the “first wave” of dates for its spring tour, nine shows in the eastern U.S. this May that will be followed a trio of “Fireworks Finale” concerts in September at the famed Hollywood Bowl with The B-52s. See full dates here.
