The first solo album in a decade from Boomtown Rats leader Bob Geldof — the cheekily titled How to Compose Popular Songs That Will Sell — is now out in the U.S., and to help mark the occasion, Mercury/Vagrant Records slipped us three copies of the CD to award to lucky Slicing Up Eyeballs readers.

To enter, simply drop a comment below telling us how you feel about Mondays. We’ll accept entries — from anywhere in the world — through noon EST Friday, April 1. After that point, we’ll draw three entries at random and notify the winners via e-mail (so make sure to use legit addresses when you comment).

And to whet your appetite, check out the 15-minute electronic press kit that Geldof assembled to promote the new album.

UPDATE 4/1/11: Contest is now closed. Thanks so much to everyone who entered. The randomly selected winners are MJ, Wyzburro and Michael Blackburn.
