MBV Watch: My Bloody Valentine’s ‘Loveless,’ ‘Isn’t Anything’ reissues pushed to September

My Bloody Valentine, 'Loveless'

In our last installment of MBV Watch, we reported a new May release date for the ever-elusive, near-mythical reissues of My Bloody Valentine’s two albums: 1988’s Isn’t Anything and 1991’s Loveless. Well, with that date nearly upon us, a sharp-eyed Slicing Up Eyeballs reader notes the ever-slippery release date for the two reissues has shifted once again, and the discs are now due Sept. 19, according to Amazon.co.uk. For those keeping score at home, this is at least the eighth release date in 18 months for Kevin Shields and Co. As always, MBV Watch remains vigilant.

  1. I think I must be the only person in the world who don’t like “Loveless”. Maybe I need some time to digest it.

  2. *Sigh*. I’m really beginning to think that these 2 reissues are never, ever going to see the light of day.

  3. What a horror story.

  4. keep the faith people…November is the 20th anniversary, so thats my guess…and they wont just release it…look how much press the 20th anniversary of Screamadelica got before its release…so id say it will be a xmas present to all of us…well i bloody hope so!

20th Anniversary eh? That makes sense.
Why doesn’t someone just announce it in an official capacity i wonder?

  6. Screw the re-issues, what we really need is to hear all this new/unreleased music Shields keeps talking about.

  7. 2 weeks to go until another release date change…just announce something Mr Shields!
