Steve Wynn to perform Dream Syndicate’s ‘Medicine Show’ in New York, Los Angeles

Dream Syndicate founder Steve Wynn will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic paisley underground act’s sophomore album Medicine Show by playing it in its entirety for the first time ever at concerts this summer in New York and Los Angeles.

Wynn and his current band, The Miracle 3, will perform the 1984 album front-to-back on June 27 in Brooklyn and July 9 in Los Angeles.

Wynn and the Miracle 3 — Jason Victor, Dave Decastro and Linda Pitmon — played similar shows to celebrate the Dream Syndicate’s debut, The Days of Wine and Roses, in 2001.

“I always loved this record and felt it has lived in the shadows of The Days of Wine and Roses,” Wynn said in a news release announcing the Medicine Show concerts. “So it will be nice to have a couple of nights to let it stand up on its own and see how it stands up to a quarter of a century.”

June 27: Bell House, Brooklyn, NY
July 9: The Echo, Los Angeles, CA
