Depeche Mode’s new album to be released in April 2013, followed by ‘full world tour’

Earlier this year, Martin Gore promised the next Depeche Mode album will be out “no later than early 2013,” and now we’ve got a better idea of what that means: DM manager Jonathan Kessler tells Rolling Stone that  the band’s 13th studio album is due out in April 2013 and will be followed by a “full world tour.”

Kessler made the comments at Dave Gahan’s one-off performance with Soulsavers at a Los Angeles studio on Saturday, and Rolling Stone notes the singer is now “full immersed n his day job,” recording at Gore’s studio in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Depeche Mode made no secret of its 2013 touring plans; last week, Kessler issued a statement shooting down some rumored European dates, saying nothing has yet been confirmed but that tickets for next year’s concerts will be going on sale in “late fall.”

  2. I wonder if this “Full World Tour” will include AUSTRALIA this time?
It’s been 19 years since they last toured here!!!

    • Geez brother,
I am a huge Neil Finn/Crowded House/Finn Bros/ Split ENZ fan, and I have not had to wait that long for one form or other, for my Finn fix. DM are a regular around here(TEXAS)when on tour. Heres hoping for some DM down unda!
Yes I know the Finns are from NZ…even further away.

  3. Greatest band in the world set to return, i have high hopes for this album, last one sounded a bit rushed and under-produced i must say.
