Watch Eurythmics reunite to perform ‘Fool on the Hill’ at Beatles tribute concert

As promised, Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart reunited as the Eurythmics to perform a Beatles cover — “The Fool on the Hill” off Magical Mystery Tour — on the “The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles” television special that was taped last month and broadcast on CBS last night.

Below, check out video of the performance via Daily Motion. The special also featured John Mayer and Keith Urban playing “Don’t Let Me Down” and Alicia Keys and John Legend performing “Let It Be,” along with performances from a couple Beatles themselves, namely Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

The concert aired Sunday night, exactly 50 years to the day after the Beatles made their historic U.S. television debut on “The Ed Sullivan Show,” a broadcast watched by an estimated 73 million people.

The Eurythmics, hugely popular during the ’80s with a string of worldwide New Wave hits, have not released a new album since 1999 reunion effort Peace, although they have contributed new songs to a best-of and performed sporadically in the intervening 15 years.
