    Hi Matt,
Could you please play “Guardian” by Digit (a Canadian band from the early 90’s) They were likely short-lived but featured on a The Edge (CFNY 102.1) and I thought the song was just awesome.

    Thanks,
    Ann

Is Low-Fi music welcome here If so I would like to suggest something by the legendary Daniel Johnston the title of this song is “Casper The Friendly Ghost” or You know you could play “True Love Will Find You In The End” or maybe “Devil Town” but I will leave it up to you to decide between these songs if his style of music isn’t welcome I would say play something by The Butthole Surfers. Ministry- I’m Falling

Please and thank you as always.

  22. another great show, thank you for providing this beacon of darkness every week!

Dave Kendall went cover crazy last Friday and it had me thinking about a darkwave-y covers theme. So, some ideas, either for a full show or set of covers, or just one of them from the batch over the next week or two…

    – RevCo – Public Image (iirc, the bside to beers steers and qveers)
    – Big Black – The Model
    – Ciccione Youth – Into the Groovey
    – ASF – School’s Out
    – 1k homo djs – Supernaut
    – Pavement – the Killing Moon
    – Dinosaur Jr – Just Like Heaven
(I guess those last two are college rock bands covering dark wave)
Not going to include Ministry’s version of Lay Lady Lay because, well, as much as I love Ministry I just don’t like it that much.

… those were a few that came to mind. of course there are many many more weird and wonderful ones out there! Thanks as always, Matt!
