Skinny Puppy to mark its 40th anniversary with “final tour” of North America

Skinny Puppy

Legendary industrial act Skinny Puppy will mark its 40th anniversary this year with what the group is calling its “final tour,” a just-announced North American trek that will be supported by Paul Barker’s Lead Into Gold project.

The 24-date tour opens April 6 in San Antonio, Texas, and runs through May 9 in Seattle, and includes shows in the group’s native Canada. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. local time Friday, Feb. 10, via Ticketmaster.

The band says in announcing the tour:

“It’s been eight long years since we’ve toured and there is no better way to end our run as a group than with a tour celebrating our 40th anniversary. To our west coast fans, don’t worry! We’ll see you soon!”

Formed in Vancouver in 1982, Skinny Puppy — anchored by cEvin Key and Nivek Ogre — has been hailed as a cornerstone act in the industrial and electro-industrial genres. The group’s 12th, and most recent, album, Weapon, was released in 2013.

Does anyone have the artist pre-sale code?

  2. Boo… they show Dallas on April 8 in the original announcement, then later in the day it got swapped for New Orleans. Happy New Orleans gets a stop, but they have to make a trek to Dallas for their final tour.

Hey st least you get somewhere close. Both Cevin and Ogre (last I checked) live here in LA and we don’t get a show anywhere in CA?

  3. presale is chorus

  4. Anyone have a link to access the nyc show?

  5. The NYC presale codes are not working . I really hope congress dismantles Ticketmaster. They clearly can’t handle ticket sales large or small.
