New Order and Tears For Fears will headline the inaugural edition of the Darker Waves music festival this November in Southern California, organizers announced, topping a bill that includes fellow ’80s alternative survivors The B-52s, Echo & The Bunnymen, Devo and more.
The Cruel World-esque festival, taking place Nov. 18 at City Beach in Huntington Beach, also will feature sets by Soft Cell, The Psychedelic Furs, The Human League, OMD, Violent Femmes, X, The English Beat, Clan of Xymox, The Chameleons, T.S.O.L., 45 Grave, Christian Death, Skeletal Family and more, including more contemporary acts such as Mochat Doma, Cold Cave and Drab Majesty.
Tickets are priced from $199 to $1,750, and a presale is set to begin 10 a.m. PT on Friday, June 23.

Advertised $199 (cheapest) GA ticket is BOGUS af, because with all the bs fees and taxes it actually costs $342, so F that I’m not going. I can’t imagine how much they are piling on to the more expensive GA+ and VIP tickets. This mob are worse than Ticketmaster who are already as low as a snake’s belly.
