RELEASE: Around the Sun, Collapse Into Now
DETAILS: Craft Recordings this week will reissue two of R.E.M.’s out-of-print latter-era albums — 2004’s Around the Sun and the band’s 2011 swan song Collapse Into Now — on heavyweight audiophile vinyl in both black and special color-variant pressings.

The Beat Farmers

RELEASE: Poor & Famous, Loud, Plowed and …Live!!
DETAILS: Curb Records this week releases new vinyl reissues of the third album by San Diego cowpunk favorites The Beat Farmers, originally released in 1989, and the band’s first live album, which came out the following year,.

The Stranglers

RELEASE: 4xCD Collection
DETAILS: Mercury Studios is releasing a 4CD box set compiling three of The Stranglers’ mid-period albums — 1995’s About Time, 1997’s Written in Red and 1998’s Coup de Grace — plus the 1997 live album Friday the Thirteenth.
