This is a round-up of the week’s new albums, expanded reissues and/or box sets, appearing each Monday on Slicing Up Eyeballs. All releases due out this coming Friday unless noted. May also include some other titles released in recent weeks but not previously featured.

RELEASE: Everything is Alive
DETAILS: The shoegaze titans this week release their fifth album overall, and second since reuniting a few years ago. The nine-track collection was preceded by the singles “Kisses,” “Skin in the Game” and “The Slab.”

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis

RELEASE: Australian Carnage: Live at the Sydney Opera House
DETAILS: Nick Cave and fellow Bad Seed Warren Ellis last week released an 18-track digital live album recorded over three shows at the Sydney Opera House late last year. An 8-song vinyl edition is due to be released Dec. 1.

Belinda Carlisle

RELEASE: Decades Volume 1: The Studio Albums Part 1
DETAILS: Edsel Records this week releases a 4CD box set, the first volume in a planned series, featuring Belinda Carlisle’s first four albums: Belinda (1986), Heaven On Earth (1987), Runaway Horses (1989) and Live Your Life Be Free (1991). Includes such hits at “Heaven Is a Place on Earth,” “I Get Weak,” “Circle in the Sand,” “Leave a Light On,” “(We Want) The Same Thing” and more.

Love Tractor

RELEASE: Around the Bend: 40th Anniversary Edition
DETAILS: The second album from the Athens, Ga., band is reissued this week on CD and limited-edition orange-with-white vinyl. The 1983 album is remastered, and the new edition includes previously unreleased original mixes of two songs.

Missing Persons

RELEASE: A Night in San Francisco
DETAILS: This week sees the release of the first official live album from Missing Persons, a 13-song set recorded at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco on Dec. 28, 1982. Features “Words,” “Destination Unknown,” “Walking in L.A.” and more.
