This week’s new releases include a new HD, career-spanning box set from This Mortal Coil, plus new albums from The Mission’s Wayne Hussey and former Ministry member Chris Connelly, plus a new Brian Eno EP.

This week’s episode of the ‘Sound Opinions’ radio show — billed as ‘the world’s only rock ‘n’ roll talk show’ — will look back at the legacy of Wax Trax! Records and will feature an interview with former Revolting Cocks and Ministry members Chris Connelly and Paul Barker.

Former members of KMFDM and Revolting Cocks will join Front 242 and My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult this spring at the Wax Trax! Records Retrospectacle: 33⅓ Year Anniversary, a two-night multimedia concert in Chicago celebrating the legendary record store and industrial music label.

This week’s new releases include a pair of 2CD sets from famed synthpop label ZTT Records (an expanded reissue of Propaganda’s ‘A Secret Wish’ and the Art of Noise comp ‘Influence’), as well as a blue-vinyl issue of Devo’s new ‘Something for Everybody’ and the debut from The High Confessions, featuring Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley and Chris Connelly (Ministry, Revolting Cocks).

While this week’s installment of ‘Dark Wave’ on Sirius XM featured a host of all-too-usual suspects (The Cure’s ‘Other Voices,’ Public Image Ltd.’s ‘Rise,’ The Sisters of Mercy’s ‘Lucretia, My Reflection’), there were, as always, some pleasant surprises, including ‘Bird Mad Girl’ from the aforementioned Cure, a dash of the always-welcome Chameleons and even a Chris Connelly track.
