Australian rockers Hoodoo Gurus have been forced for the second time to reschedule their first U.S. tour in more than a decade, this time because the band’s members can’t leave their home country due to their government’s strict restrictions on international travel. Two months after their last, Trump-tweaking single, Australian rockers Hoodoo Gurus are back with another new song: “Get Out of Dodge,” featuring backing vocals by Vicki Peterson of The Bangles and John Cowsill of The Cowsills and the current iteration of The Beach Boys. Hear it right here.

Australian college-rock faves Hoodoo Gurus dropped two big pieces of news this week: they’ve released a brand-new single called “Answered Prayers,” and, even more surprising, they announced the band’s first U.S. tour in a decade. Having spent the better part of the last month touring their native Australia, pop-rock powerhouse Hoodoo Gurus will venture overseas in late September and to play shows in Spain, France and the U.K., followed by a brief seven-city tour of the United States in October.

Australia’s Hoodoo Gurus today announced a May 11 U.S. release date for their ninth studio album, ‘Purity of Essence,’ which the band is teasing with a six-part web mockumentary that pokes fun at Metallica’s self-help doc ‘Some Kind of Monster.’
