Rhino Records next month will mark the 40th anniverary of the Ramones’ classic 1977 sophomore album Leave Home with a deluxe 3CD/1LP reissue of the record that includes a remastering of the original album and a brand-new mix by original engineer Ed Stasium, as well a heap of previously unreleased bonus material.

This week’s new releases include Ramones reissues on 180-gram audiophile vinyl, plus a 2CD reissue of Peter Murphy’s debut ‘Should the World Fail to Fall Apart,’ a brand-new They Might Be Giants album called ‘Join Us’ and a DVD of Lou Reed’s 2009 appearance at Lollapalooza.

Ramones reissuing first 4 albums on 180-gram vinyl with bonus blue-vinyl 7-inches

Rhino Records later this month will re-release the Ramones’ first four albums — ‘Ramones’ (1976), ‘Leave Home’ (1977), ‘Rocket to Russia’ (1977) and ‘Road to Ruin’ (1978) — on 180-gram audiophile vinyl and in special limited-edition sets packaged with bonus 7-inch singles on blue vinyl.
