With news over the past weekend that Sasquatch! Music Festival in Washington state was canceling its second weekend due to low ticket sales, it’s perhaps no surprise that New Order — which had scheduled other West Coast dates around the appearance — moved quickly to lock in a replacement gig.
As expected, New Order has added a handful of North American tour dates around its slot at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in Washington state this July, with concerts in Chicago, Vancover, B.C., and San Francisco joining a previously revealed show in Los Angeles, according to an announcement this morning.
The two-weekend Sasquatch! Music Festival — set for Memorial Day and Fourth of July weekends outside of Seattle — will feature performances by New Order, Kraftwerk, Soundgarden, Bob Mould, Violent Femmes alongside the likes of OutKast, The National, Queens of the Stone Age and many, many more.
With his autobiography ‘See A Little Light: The Trail of Rage and Melody’ due out next month, Bob Mould is gearing up for a busy summer that will include a book tour, dates with his Blowoff DJ side project, an opening slot at two giant Foo Fighters shows in the U.K. and the reissue of Sugar’s classic debut ‘Copper Blue’ on audiophile vinyl.
