BACKSTORY: The survivors of ’80s cowpunk faves The Beat Farmers have soldiered on despite the deaths of two of their three lead singers (Country Dick Montana in 1995 and Buddy Blue in 2006). Like The Dead, they’ve shortened their name to the Jerry Raney-led Farmers, and now have a brand-new disc out.

RELEASES: Women and Captains First and The Power of Love
BACKSTORY: The past and present member of The Damned reissues his first two solo albums, originally released in 1982 and 1984, respectively. Women and Captains First features six bonus tracks, including the hit single “Wot” and one previously unreleased tune, while The Power of Love includes an additional seven non-album singles and B-sides.
