Sirius XM’s 12-hour Halloween ‘Dark Wave’

Sirius XM's 1st Wave

As regular readers no doubt know, each Sunday night, we post the playlist for “Dark Wave,” the weekly “darker side of alternative” show on Sirius XM satellite radio’s classic-alt station 1st Wave. Well, this Sunday, expect a hugely expanded edition: In honor of Halloween, the station will stretch “Dark Wave” to 12 full hours, a veritable “goth-a-thon” promising “darker classic alternative music from artists like The Cure, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees and more.” This Sunday’s show runs from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Eastern and noon to midnight Pacific.

  1. Hey…I’m not surprised that their playlist is decided ahead of time. I just would love to hear “Something Wicked This Way Come” by Siouxsie & the Banshees tonight is all.
