The Psychedelic Furs, 'Talk Talk Talk'

New Wave rockers The Psychedelic Furs will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their sophomore album Talk Talk Talk by playing the record in its entirety at a “very limited run of live shows” in the U.S. this spring — just eight concerts in California and Texas, according to an announcement this morning.

The Furs — still centered on brothers Richard and Tim Butler — announced today that they will perform two sets each night on the U.S. trek, performing Talk Talk Talk — home to “All of This and Nothing” and the original version of “Pretty and Pink” — front-to-back, “followed by a set of other songs chosen from throughout the band’s entire career.”

The short tour opens April 21 in El Paso, Texas, and hits two more cities in the Lone Star State before heading to California for five concerts, culminating on May 3 in San Francisco (see dates below). According to the band’s website, tickets go on sale this Saturday.

UPDATE 2/2/11: The band has added six more shows to the tour in Texas, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

UPDATE 2/19/11: Another new show added in California.
