Free MP3s: Bones Howell covers Bauhaus’ ‘Hair of the Dog,’ gets remixed by Daniel Ash

New York rockers Bones Howell claim to draw on punk and goth influences, and they certainly aren’t afraid to show off that inspiration on a new 7-inch that arrives today and features both a cover of Bauhaus’ “Hair of the Dog” — the opening track to 1981’s Mask — and a remix of their own song “Nephritis” by none other than Daniel Ash, Bauhaus’ guitarist.

The latter track, in its original form, will appear on the band’s forthcoming album, due out this fall. You acn stream or download the Bauhaus cover and the Daniel Ash remix from the SoundCloud player below — and you can order the 7-inch right here.
