Depeche Mode to debut ‘Delta Machine’ songs with free album-release show in Vienna

Depeche Mode

Depeche Mode will launch the release of its new album Delta Machine next month with a free and very intimate performance of new material off that record in Vienna on March 24, just days after its worldwide release, announced presenter Electronic Beats, which also will stream the full show shortly thereafter.

The concert — more than a month before the start of DM’s European tour (see full dates below) — is free, but fans will have to enter a drawing to get in. Electronic Beats will be giving away one ticket per person to “fan reporters,” people the site describes as “a devoted and dedicated Depeche Mode fan who is willing to go the extra mile and to share his/her experience from the exclusive event.”

To enter: “Fans simply need to post their online application to Electronic Beats’ Facebook page and explain why you think you should win this once in a lifetime experience! You may qualify by submitting a video, a picture, an audio file, or a written proposal to prove your true passion for the band. The final deadline for applications is March 7, 2013, 18:00 CET.”

  1. Nice…
Now, how about those US dates?

  2. God, if there was anyway I could get to Vienna I would apply in a heartbeat! I managed to get into the Playing the Angel tour warmup show at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC and it was possibly the best night of my life!

  3. Yes they are taking an awful long time to announce American dates arent they? Their last trip to States was fairly successful, Madison Square Garden & the Hollywood Bowl shows were both sellouts.
