‘120 Minutes’ Rewind: Kevin Seal puts The Church under the ‘120 X-Ray’ — 1988

For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we revisit this “120 X-Ray” segment from 1988, which finds Kevin Seal once again the victim of cheesy visual effects as he digs into the story of The Church circa Starfish, with interviews from Peter Koppes and Marty Willson-Piper. The two discuss the band’s history, the making of the “Under the Milky Way” video and more.

Check out the full clip above, once again via dpallen.

  1. This video is bittersweet. I remember when it aired and thought this little band that I liked since ’84 was about to have its big break. It’s really too bad the Church weren’t able to capitalize on the success of Starfish. They’re still a fantastic band.

  2. Agreed. Priest=Aura remains their ignored masterwork, but they have such a great large body of work that’s been ignored by the masses.

  3. A very nice singer, mostly known for her “Babooshka” !
