Karl Wallinger is reissuing all five World Party studio albums on 180-gram vinyl between now and November, with each record boasting remastered sound, while the group’s final album — 2000’s Dumbing Up — will feature six extra tracks in its vinyl debut. Get more details right here.
Karl Wallinger’s got big plans for 2019, with a new World Party studio album — the band’s first in 19 years — planned for release along with reissues of the group’s full catalog on vinyl for the first time throughout the year, beginning with 1986 debut Private Revolution. The new album is expected in the spring.
The five-disc World Party box set announced last month will be released April 10 and comprised entirely of previously unreleased material: 70 never-before-heard tracks including new songs and an ‘unheard history of rare studio gems, live sessions, concert recordings, radio interviews, covers, demos and B-sides.’
