FAQ: What’s up with Slicing Up Eyeballs?

Frequently asked questions (FAQs):

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these things, eh?

Yes.

You left the last one on the home page for far too long.

That’s not a question.

You used that schtick in the last one, too.

Still not a question.

OK, so then, to borrow the title of this post, what’s up with Slicing Up Eyeballs? You hardly ever post anything anymore, aside from from the playlists from your “Dark Wave” radio show — which, by the way, airs at 10 p.m. Eastern every Sunday night on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave.

Thanks for the plug.

You’re welcome.

So, yeah. Haven’t been posting much lately, and don’t foresee posting much going forward, at least for the time being. Life, as they say, has been conspiring against this for some time now, and it’s good to just acknowledge it.

Does that mean you’re pulling the plug? Again?

No. I believe I noted earlier that I’d painted myself into a corner on that one.

So what does this all mean?

I’ll keep posting “Dark Wave” playlists here, and the occasional news piece when I’m really moved to. Like, say, if Midnight Oil suddenly released a new song.

Your legion of fans will be so disappointed.

Trust me, there’s no legion. I see the analytics. But I deeply appreciate anyone who still stops by this dusty outpost — and, frankly, anyone who’s ever taken the time to read, share or participate in any of the discussions here. It’s a great group of people.

See, now you sound like you’re really quitting.

Let’s just consider this site going forward to be a purveyor of very semi-occasional news.

Matt, I like your show a lot, and listen whenever I can. My wife, not so much, but that’s neither here nor there. I’d love to host an hour on the Psychedelic Furs early phase, when they were pretty punk.

  2. Don’t you mean “pretty in punk”? Har har.
